Pride Cocktails That Pop

As cities all over the U.S. gear up to celebrate Pride weekend and closing out Pride month, many bar and restaurant operators and brands have created cocktails to commemorate the occasion. And several are donating funds from Pride cocktails to organizations that support the LBGT community, such as The Trevor Project. We’ll drink to that; here are five Pride cocktails we like.

Pride Party

Course Drinks
Keyword lemon, pineapple, sparkling wine, vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Vodka
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • ½ oz. Pineapple juice
  • ½ oz. Lustre Dust simple syrup
  • Sparkling wine

Instructions

  • Chill a coupe glass with ice and soda.
  • Combine ingredients (except sparkling wine) in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
  • Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and top with sparkling wine.
  • Attach a pride flag to glass with a mini clothespin.

Free To Be Me

Course Drinks
Keyword coconut water, lime, strawberry, vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Effen vodka
  • ½ oz. Lime juice
  • ½ oz. Simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Coconut water
  • 2 Strawberries
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Muddle two strawberries with simple syrup and lemon juice.
  • Add vodka, a pinch of salt and short shake.
  • Pour two ounces of coconut water into tin.
  • Strain into a rocks glass with ice.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig.

The Harvey Milkshake 

Course Drinks
Keyword cold brew coffee, Crème de Cacao, Essentia water, vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Vodka
  • ½ oz. Crème de Cacao liqueur
  • ½ oz. Simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Essentia cold brew 1 part cold brew concentrate, 2 parts Essentia water
  • 1 oz. Essentia almond milk*
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with rainbow sprinkles and a cherry.

  • *For Almond milk:
  • Soak 1 cup of almonds overnight.
  • Drain and rinse the almonds.
  • Combine almonds and 3 cups of Essentia Water and blend for 30 seconds.
  • Fine strain.

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart

Course Drinks
Keyword Chicha Morada, lime, Oleo saccharum syrup, Plantation 3 Star rum, rum

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Plantation 3 Star rum
  • 1 oz. Chicha Morada
  • ½ oz. Lime
  • ½ oz. Oleo saccharum syrup
  • 1 heaping bar spoon Unsweetened coconut cream

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin, add ice and shake vigorously.
  • Double strain into a rocks glass over fresh Kold Draft 1” ice cubes.
  • Garnish with Thai basil sprig and dehydrated flowers.

Tropical Pride Parade

Course Drinks
Keyword coconut water, Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee, lemon, Simple syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ part Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee
  • 3-4 parts Coconut water quality
  • ¼ part Simple syrup
  • ½ part Fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients except coconut water and shake.
  • Strain over fresh ice into a highball/Collins glass and top with coconut water.
  • Garnish with toasted coconut (optional), lemon wheel with a pride flag and serve with love.
