Rabbit Hole Rereleases Raceking Bourbon

Rabbit Hole Distillery has released Raceking, a six-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, timed with the start of Kentucky’s horse racing season.

The limited-edition release follows the original Raceking introduced in 2020, with the new version aged for six years.

Raceking is bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV) and produced using a five-grain mash bill that includes chocolate-malted wheat and chocolate-malted barley. The whiskey was aged in toasted and charred American oak barrels produced by Kelvin Cooperage.

According to the distillery, the aroma includes toffee and toasted almond notes, with brown sugar. The palate includes roasted espresso, cocoa and caramel, along with clove and cardamom. The finish has tobacco, leather and dark chocolate notes.

“Raceking reflects how I like to approach bourbon, with respect for tradition but a willingness to explore its edges,” says Kaveh Zamanian, founder of Rabbit Hole Distillery. “With this release, we wanted to honor Kentucky’s legendary horse racing tradition. The name Raceking reflects that heritage and embodies the careful, deliberate process required to craft a bourbon worthy of a thoroughbred pedigree. Every element, from our five-grain mash bill to the toasted and charred barrels, was designed to create a bold, distinct flavor that celebrates both Kentucky’s history and Rabbit Hole’s approach to thoughtful whiskey making.”

Raceking is available in 750-ml. bottles at select retailers and through Rabbit Hole Distillery’s website. The suggested retail price is $95 per bottle.
