T. Edward Wines & Spirits has been appointed the New York distributor for Mezcal Mal Bien. Founded by Anthony Silas and Ben Scott, Mezcal Mal Bien is known for its focus on quality, character-driven mezcals and a direct, producer-focused approach to sourcing.
Mal Bien first entered the New York market in 2019 and has since built a strong following among the city’s cocktail bars, mezcalerías, specialty bottle shops and agave enthusiasts. T. Edward will be the sole New York distributor for the brand as of Nov. 1, 2026.
The partnership will expand Mal Bien’s reach across New York while strengthening support for its existing accounts and introducing the portfolio to new markets and consumers. It comes at an exciting moment for Mal Bien, with new releases —including a “niños viejos” madrecuixe from Victor Ramos, made from plants that took 30 years to mature, and a 54% ABV “Alta Tensión” espadín from Felix Ramirez—set to arrive in New York for the holiday season.
