Millstone restaurant in Lexington, KY, has a unique nonalcoholic drink option: the Truth or Dare. Guest pick three words from the menu, and the bar makes a custom drink just for them.
The words to choose from are: sweet, herbaceous, tart, tropical, rich, indulgent, nutty, spicy, funky, bitter, floral and sour. There’s no recipe, no menu description and nothing pre-determined.
Truth or Dare, priced at $11, reflects the thought Millstone gives to the non-drinker at the table. NA options are often limited to sodas and a few generic mocktails, but Millstone gives the non-drinker the most personalized thing on the menu.
Millstone opened in November 2025 in a renovated 1880s building that originally served as one of Lexington’s public school houses. Prior to opening Millstone, chef/owner Tyler Murray was executive chef at University of Kentucky Dining, where he oversaw 8,000 meals a day.
