7 Tequila Day Drinks for 2025

National Tequila Day is July 24, and we can’t think of a better reason to celebrate with cocktails made from the agave spirit. Here are seven tequila drink recipes we like for this year.

Hive Mind

Course Drinks
Keyword honey syrup, lemon, mezcal, pineapple, Prickly pear, tequila

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. El Jimador tequila
  • 1 oz. 400 Conejos mezcal
  • ½ oz. Liquid Alchemist Prickly Pear
  • ¼ oz. Spiced honey syrup
  • ¾ oz. Pineapple juice
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice

Instructions

  • Rim a double rocks glass with a half-moon of black salt.
  • Combine ingredients in a shaker and shake.
  • Dirty dump (pour everything) into rimed glass.

Guava Dreams

Course Drinks
Keyword blanco tequila, coconut cream, guava soda, lime

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. 1800 Blanco tequila
  • 4 oz. Jarritos guava soda
  • 1 oz. Coconut cream
  • ¾ oz. Fresh lime juice

Instructions

  • Shake tequila, coconut cream and fresh lime juice in a shaker with ice.
  • Strain into a highball glass over crushed ice.
  • Top with Jarritos.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.

The Full Moon

Course Drinks
Keyword amaro de Angostura, carrot syrup, Ginger liqueur, tequila

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Camarena anejo tequila
  • 1 oz. Carrot syrup
  • ¾ oz. Lemon
  • ¼ oz. Barrows Ginger liqueur
  • ¼ oz. Amaro di Angostura
  • Horchata foam garnish

Instructions

  • Combine liquid ingredients and shake.
  • Pour into snifter and top with horchata foam.
  • Garnish with dried orange wheel.

Watermelon and Grapefruit Paloma

Course Drinks
Keyword agave, blanco tequila, grapefruit, lime, soda water, watermelon

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Teremana Blanco tequila
  • 12 oz. Watermelon juice approx. 3 cups of watermelon, blended and strained
  • 6 oz. Grapefruit juice
  • 4 oz. Lime juice
  • 4 oz. Agave syrup
  • 16 oz. Soda water

Instructions

  • Build in a large pitcher filled with ice, adding soda water last.
  • Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
  • Pour into rocks glasses.
  • Garnish with lime wheels and pineapple leaves.

Crown Blockberry

Course Drinks
Keyword aquafaba, blackberry puree, Cointreau, lime, reposado tequila, Simple syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Tres Generations Reposado tequila
  • ¾ oz. Lime
  • ¾ oz. Cointreau
  • ½ oz. Aquafaba
  • ½ oz. Blackberry purée
  • ¾ oz. Simple syrup

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients and shake violently.
  • Strain into chilled coupe.
  • Garnish with 2 blackberries in prism pick.

Mango Margarita

Course Drinks
Keyword agave, lime, mango liqueur, tequila

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Chinola mango liqueur
  • 2 oz. Tequila or mezcal
  • 1 oz. Lime juice
  • ½ oz. Agave
  • 2 dashes Spicy bitters optional

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients and shake with ice.
  • Strain into Margarita glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with lime wheel.

Peach Blossom Spritz

Course Drinks
Keyword blanco tequila, club soda, lemon, orange bitters, peach puree

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Casamigos blanco tequila
  • 1 oz. Peach purée
  • ½ oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes Orange bitters
  • Club soda

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients, except club soda into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into a Collins glass.
  • Add fresh ice, top off with club soda and garnish.
  • Garnish with a peach slice.
