Driven by an expanding consumer demand for alternatives to traditional alcohol, cannabis-infused beverages have taken the lead in the beverage alcohol industry. This article takes a deep dive into how consumers are going over these beverages, and yet, state legislators are reluctant in making them available for purchase.

The Florida Supreme Court decided against considering the ballot text of a proposed constitutional amendment for adult-use recreational marijuana, which the state says failed to meet signature requirements for the 2026 ballot.

Earlier this week, Representative James Baired (R-IN) introduced a bill that would give the hemp industry two more years before a federal ban on THC products would take effect. The legislation, H.R.7010, would extend the current one-year delay of the ban to three years– pushing implementation to November 2028.

Rumors are currently floating around about a potentially imminent decision from the Trump administration to reclassify marijuana. The Washington Post reported that the president plans to issue an executive order on the policy change—but despite amplified rumors about the potential reform action, the White House is claiming that no final decisions have been made.

The Travel Agency, a New York City cannabis destination, took its first test flight with a pilot “Cannabis Carrier Pigeon Program,” sending pigeons fitted with mini-backpacks to deliver cannabis across the city. The pilot program was created with professional pigeon handlers to reimagine what modern cannabis delivery can look like.
