Blue Note Increases Allocation of Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye

B.R. Distilling Co. has increased the allocation of its Blue Note Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye Cask Whiskey for the third annual release of the limited-edition expressions.

The Memphis-based company said the two whiskeys sold out in each of the previous two years. For the 2026 release, approximately 2,500 cases of each expression will be available online and in select U.S. markets.

Blue Note finishes the bourbon and rye in American oak barrels seasoned with wildflower barrel-aged honey for six to nine months. The company then returns the whiskey to the honey-seasoned barrels for finishing.

“Our third annual Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye Cask Whiskeys, which are crafted in Memphis, are a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle we produce,” said Chris Crosbie, Chief Executive Officer, B.R. Distilling Co. “Every sip strikes the perfect note between spice and sweetness — finished with soul.”

Blue Note Honey Bourbon uses a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% malted barley. It is bottled at 117.8 proof (58.9% ABV) and is unfiltered. Blue Note Honey Rye Whiskey uses a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is bottled at 119.6 proof (59.8% ABV) and is also unfiltered.

Both expressions have a suggested retail price of $64.99 per 750-ml. bottle. The company also plans to release single barrels of both whiskeys through select retailers.

Blue Note’s whiskey portfolio is distilled in partnership with Lofted Spirits, the parent company of Green River Distilling Company. The whiskey ages north of downtown Memphis near the confluence of the Mississippi and Wolf rivers.

This follows news of the brand’s increased distribution.
