Heaven Hill has announced Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon, expanding its single barrel portfolio alongside the brand’s 15-Year-Old and 18-Year-Old expressions.
The bourbon will debut June 14 at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown, Kentucky, coinciding with National Bourbon Day. Heaven Hill plans a limited distribution to select markets later this year.
The 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon carries a 94-proof designation. According to the company, the whiskey offers aromas of toasted oak, leather and spice, along with flavors of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and burnt caramel. The finish includes notes of oak, molasses, barrel char and pepper.
“Elijah Craig 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon is a sophisticated, more mature sibling to our vaunted Single Barrel collection and becomes our oldest age statement currently available,” says Conor O’Driscoll, master distiller for Elijah Craig Bourbon. “Our fans have been waiting for a new 20-year-plus-aged release, and this won’t disappoint. Expect the signature warm spice that Elijah Craig is known for, with new layers that reveal the transformative power of extended maturation.”
The release comes packaged in a wooden display case inspired by the barrel-charring process associated with the brand’s namesake, Elijah Craig.
Consumers may begin lining up at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience the night before the release. Heaven Hill plans to distribute wristbands before the facility opens at 11 a.m. on June 14. Bottle sales will begin at noon.
O’Driscoll and artisanal distiller Jodie Filiatreau will attend the event for bottle signings. Visitors will also have access to an Elijah Craig tasting, a barrel-charring demonstration and live music through 4 p.m.
Elijah Craig will sell the 21-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience for a suggested retail price of $299.99, while supplies last.
The company has allocated 1,789 bottles for release in select markets ahead of the holiday season. The bottle count references the year the brand says Elijah Craig first produced bourbon.
This follows the recent release of Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Rye Whiskey 2025.
