At House of the Red Pearl, a Chinese-inspired restaurant in New York, the Fortune Cookie Sundae has become a fan-favorite. The dessert, with layers of fortune cookie-infused ice cream, orange blossom meringue, chocolate fudge, almond whipped cream, mochi, and almond brittle, has now inspired a cocktail experience.
The Fortune Cookie Milk Punch is a silky and nostalgic cocktail spiked with oolong milk tea and fortune cookie-infused tequila. It’s served in a teapot with a side of fortune cookies for a playful, immersive twist.
Made with Patron reposado tequila, soba cha (buckwheat tea), Dolin Blanc vermouth, Lustau amontillado sherry, Minus 8 maple verjus and toasted almond, the Fortune Cookie Milk Punch launched in April and is priced at $18. House of the Red Pearl, part of a food hall by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, opened in 2022.
