Officially open at 1 Hartford Square, 420 Warehouse is Connecticut’s first grow-adjacent adult-use cannabis shop, offering a curated retail experience just steps from where the plants are cultivated. A ribbon cutting marked the official opening on Wednesday, April 23, with Mayor Erin Stewart in attendance.
“420 Warehouse is about more than cannabis – it’s about creating a space where culture, community and craftsmanship meet,” said Samantha Fazio (née Frisco), lifelong New Britain resident and owner of 420 Warehouse, in a news release. “We’re proud to call this city home and bring something truly unique to Connecticut’s growing cannabis landscape.”
420 Warehouse stands out as Connecticut’s first retail cannabis store located directly alongside an active cultivation facility, sharing a campus with Brix Cannabis. Inside, a short video gives visitors a glimpse into the cultivation process, according to the dispensary, and plans are already underway to offer behind-the-scenes tours for top customers.
The inside of the store is decorated with vibrant murals made by local artists – including a custom graffiti piece by Connecticut’s own Ben Keller. The space also features a curated selection of flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles and accessories.
420 Warehouse Grand Opening Party
420 Warehouse celebrated its arrival with a Grand Opening Rollout Party which took place on Sunday, April 27, according to the dispensary. The event was open to the public (21+), offering a full day of local flavor, immersive experiences and community connection.
Event highlights included a mobile lounge featuring ambient lighting, retro and modern games, cozy seating and sweet treats, along with local favorite Rescue Dog Food Truck, known for donating a portion of proceeds to nearby animal shelters. Guests who made a qualifying in-store purchase also received a complimentary food ticket to enjoy during the celebration.
420 Warehouse is open seven days a week and located at 1 Hartford Square, New Britain, CT. Hours of operation include Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
