90+ Cellars Announces Russian River Rosé, Willamette Pinot Gris

90+ Cellars has introduced two limited-production wines sourced from California’s Russian River Valley and Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

The releases include Lot 238 Russian River Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir, and Lot 237 Willamette Valley Pinot Gris.

Lot 238 Russian River Valley Rosé is produced from 100% pinot noir grown on estate vineyards in Sonoma County. The fruit is hand-harvested as whole clusters, according to the producer, gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures. The wine is 13.5% ABV and certified Sonoma Sustainable. Tasting notes provided by the supplier include guava, red cherry and citrus. Suggested food pairings include pan-seared salmon, roasted chicken with thyme and beet and goat cheese salad.

Lot 237 Willamette Valley Pinot Gris is sourced from vineyards in Oregon’s Dundee area. The wine is made with cold fermentation and light lees contact to maintain freshness and develop texture, according to the producer. The release is 100% pinot gris with 12.7% ABV. Tasting notes provided by the supplie include pear, citrus, kiwi and honeysuckle. Suggested pairings include grilled halibut with asparagus, caprese salad and goat cheese flatbread.

Both wines are limited production releases and part of the 90+ Cellars numbered lot series. The company indicated that the wines are sourced and produced in collaboration with regional winemakers.

The releases arrive ahead of the spring and summer selling season, when rosé and pinot gris typically see increased retail demand.
