Barrell Craft Spirits, which has blended cask strength whiskeys since 2013, has launched Barrell Full Proof, a full proof bourbon blend.
The BCS blending team began by selecting barrels and cutting each one to its original barrel entry proof. Through blending, they then harmonized these elements, resulting in an blend featuring notes of hazelnut, chocolate, tobacco and leather, according to the company.
The new expression includes straight bourbon whiskeys from Indiana (16- and 18-year), Tennessee (16- and 17-year), and Kentucky (11- and 20-year), which were blended and bottled at 123 proof (61.5% ABV).
With a derived mash bill of corn (78%), rye (11%) and malted barley (11%), Barrell Full Proof is now available for purchase online via the BCS website at barrellbourbon.com and at retailers for the suggested retail price of $199.99 per 750-m.l bottle.
This follows the recent launch of Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish Series: P.X. Sherry.
