Miami Hotel Offering On-demand Coquito Cart

The Kimpton EPIC Hotel in downtown Miami is helping guests get into the holiday spirit with a special Coquito offering. A version of the holiday cocktail is available to hotel guests as part of its on-demand Coquito cart program, as well as during its nightly wine hour.

The Coquito cart serves up the traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink in-room and on-demand to hotel guests who text the property’s Coquito cart hotline. The program, available through December from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, celebrates Miami’s deep-rooted Latino heritage and offers guests the opportunity to partake in the cultural experience.

While the Coquito recipe — from the family of the property’s food and beverage director, Emilio Santaella — is fairly simple, the balance of each ingredient gives each drink a personal touch. Coquito, which means “little coconut,” is one of Puerto Rico’s most celebrated contributions to mixology and is typically enjoyed during the holiday season due to its warm, seasonal ingredients such as cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and rum.

Here’s the Coquito cart’s recipe.
