The Texas-based distillery Devils River Whiskey has announced two new products: Devils River Barrel Strength Bourbon, and Devils River Rye Whiskey.
Devils River Barrel Strength Bourbon is a 117-proof high-rye bourbon. Flavors include oak, honey and caramel alongside a distinct peppery spice, the company reports. The suggested retail price is $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
Devils River Rye Whiskey is made with heavier rye and lighter corn, the company says, producing a warm rye flavor. The mash bill also contains malt barley, making for a rye with spicy notes of rye, pepper and oak, balanced with a slight but rich sweetness of caramel, brown sugar and orange zest. The suggested retail price is $34.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
Starting this fall, Devils River Barrel Strength and Devils River Rye Whiskey will roll out distribution across 11 states, including TX, FL, GA, CO, MO, KS, AR, OK, NE, SC and TN.
