Distillers are rolling out a growing number of whiskies, rums, gins—even cognacs—with higher-than-normal concentrations of alcohol. High-alcohol gin and rum is in vogue and a favorite with mixologists. Fans of this burgeoning category of spirits say higher alcohol translates into more flavor.
