Martignetti Companies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Girardi Distributors in Massachusetts. The deal marks another milestone in the Taunton, MA-based Martignetti’s growth strategy.
A fourth generation, family-owned beverage distributor established in 1933, Girardi Distributors services the Western and Central Massachusetts markets from facilities in Athol and Pittsfield, MA. The company represents the Anheuser-Busch portfolio as well as a range of other beer, wine and spirits products.
The acquisition, expected to close this fall, extends Martignetti’s total beverage alcohol strategy to represent beer, wine, spirits and alternative product categories to its customer base across New England. This latest transaction follows Martignetti’s two recent acquisitions of Anheuser-Busch distributorships in Massachusetts in 2024, Quality Beverage and Anheuser-Busch’s AB One Boston operation.
