Don Q producer Destilería Serrallés has launched two new rum expressions, Don Q Reserva and Don Q Reserva Especial.
Don Q Reserva has a suggested retail price of $21.99 per 750-ml. bottle. The rum blends spirits aged for at least five years in American white oak barrels that previously held bourbon. The company says the expression includes notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, raisins and plum.
Don Q Reserva Especial has a suggested retail price of $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle. The expression blends rums aged between seven and 10 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. According to the company, the rum includes notes of dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and light smoke.
“With these two new expressions, we reaffirm our commitment to the quality and innovation that set us apart,” says Silvia Santiago, vice president of manufacturing at Destilería Serrallés. “Our goal is to offer consumers more high end premium rum options, and what better way to do so than with Don Q, Puerto Rico’s leading rum.”
The new releases join the brand’s existing premium rum lineup, which includes Reserva 7 and Gran Reserva XO.
Both expressions are now available at select retail locations.
