Bandero Premium Tequila expanded into the Illinois, Nevada and North Carolina markets within the first three months of this year, adding to its existing presence in California, Colorado, Texas, New York and New Jersey.
Bandero offers two tequilas: an additive-free Blanco that’s triple-distilled and chill-filtered alongside a Café that blends Bandero’s Blanco with Mexican coffee concentrate and agave honey.
Bandero Tequila is made using Blue Weber Agave, and then matured for seven years in the red clay soil of Jalisco, Mexico’s Highland region of Los Altos. The resulting notes are floral and honey suckle, according to the brand. The Bandero Blanco tequila also contains no additives, colorings or sweeteners.
Bandero Tequila has a particular focus on sustainability, according to the brand, featuring a zero-waste production process where liquid byproducts are repurposed for irrigation and agave fibers support local agricultural initiatives. The canteen-style bottles are also made with recycled glass and custom, plant-based vegan leather.
“As we grow into new markets, our goal is to continue to share our story of craftsmanship, heritage and sustainability,” said Johanna DeJoria, VP of Sales, in a news release. “We’ve seen a 50% increase in sales from the previous year and expanded our market share by 40% in the last four months, which tells us there’s a real appetite for a no-compromise approach to sipping tequila, one that prioritizes quality but is accessible at the same time.”
