Heavensake has announced new distribution relationships with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of New York, and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Nevada.
Heavensake Junmai Daiginjo, Junmai Ginjo, and Junmai 12 will be exclusively distributed by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in Nevada, and through the company’s fine wine division, Lauber Imports, in New York — both beginning this October.
This French brand was created by cellar master Régis Camus. Heavensake is the first Franco-Japanese sake made by a Chef de Cave from the Champagne region, who worked in tandem with the Tojis (sake brewmasters).
Designed for the western palate and cuisine, Heavensake’s blends are all natural, created with no distilled alcohol or added sugar, sulphite-, gluten-, and additive-free, and are three times less acidic than wine, the company says.
“Introduced in New York in 2017, the brand has successfully completed its proof of concept and is now ready to accelerate commercially,” says Laurent Cutier, CEO of Heavensake. “Our ambition is to expand beyond Asian Fusion and Japanese accounts, to hotel bars and lounges ultimately transcending the sake category. Aligning with world-class distributors such as Lauber in New York and SGWS in Nevada will be pivotal in the growth of Heavensake.”
The SRP for the three available products ranges from $28 to $95, per 750-ml. bottle.
