Heaven Hill Unveils Larceny, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C924

Heaven Hill has announced the launches of Larceny Barrel Proof C924 and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C924.

All releases in both series follow a standard naming system. The “C” in the name stands for the third batch in an annual A, B, C line. The “9” denotes the release month, September, while the “24” represents the current year.

Both represent the final releases in both lines for this year.

Larceny Barrel Proof C924 rolls out with the brand’s new packaging. This includes a hidden message. Printed with UV ink, the legend behind Larceny can barely be seen in natural light but hold the label under a blacklight and the story is better revealed. This feature alludes to the fact that for many years the story of John E. Fitzgerald was lost to history. It was only in recent decades that Fitzgerald’s identity as a treasury agent with a taste for stolen whiskey came to light, the company says. The new label is meant to resemble a page ripped from the history books.

On the back of Larceny bottles, Bourbon fans can scan the QR code taking them directly to the newly updated Larceny website.

Showcasing Heaven Hill’s wheated bourbon recipe, Larceny Barrel Proof C924 is 125.1 proof. Like each batch, this expression is an uncut small batch bourbon aged six to eight years, bottled straight from the barrel. Heaven Hill’s wheated bourbon mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley.

The suggested retail price for Larceny Barrel Proof C924 is $64.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B524 aged for 11 years, representing the youngest barrel used in this blend. This bourbon is non-chill-filtered and uncut, and comes bottled at 129 proof.

Starting with last year’s batches, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is now barreled in small batches with varying age statements. Each batch has a unique flavor profile and proof, as in the past, but now also a unique age statement that details aging down to the month. This expanded statement has transitioned from the side of the bottle to the front label. All other qualities remain the same.

The next and final 2024 batch of ECBP is expected in September.

The suggested retail price for Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C924 is $74.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

This follows the B524 releases for both brands.
