M.S. Walker announced the re-introduction of the Irish whiskey brand, John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey.
After purchasing the brand rights from Georgetown Trading Co., M.S. Walker will roll out the whiskey — named after the famous Boston boxer of the same name — nationwide beginning immediately.
John L. Sullivan aged in bourbon casks. This blended Irish whiskey exhibits notes of spice and vanilla, the company reports.
Also known as ‘The Boston Strong Boy’, John L. Sullivan was born to Irish immigrant parents in Boston, MA in 1858. With a career record of 40-1-2 with 24 knockouts, Sullivan was the last heavyweight bare-knuckle boxing champion of the world, the company says, and the first heavyweight gloved boxing champion of the world.
John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey will be available in the coming weeks for a suggested retail price of $25.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
