Jim Beam has announced the release of Jim Beam Double Oak.
This Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is finished in oak that is twice barreled to “create richer and woodier flavors,” the company says.
Aged initially for four years while sitting in freshly charred, new American oak barrels, Jim Beam Double Oak is then transferred to newly charred American oak barrels and aged to taste. The second barreling “allows the liquid to develop an even deeper level of intense spiced oakiness and rich caramel,” the company says.
Jim Beam Double Oak will begin hitting shelves this month. The suggested retail price is $22.00 per 750-ml. bottle.
