Michigan beer distributor O&W Inc. just announced the early launch of America’s Oldest Brewery, Yuengling, packaged beer lineup, almost a full week ahead of schedule. The timing coincides with the high-energy tailgating scene surrounding the University of Michigan vs. Central Michigan football game.
Following a record-breaking draft launch on August 11, 2025, which saw over 500 accounts purchase selections and nearly 2,300 kegs sold across bars and restaurants in O&W’s territory, according to the distributor, Yuengling is expanding its Michigan presence with the release of bottles and cans of:
- Yuengling Traditional Lager
- Yuengling Light Lager
- Yuengling Black & Tan
- Yuengling Flight – The Next Generation of Light Beer
These brews will be available at retail stores, bars and restaurants in select areas, according to the distributor. The rollout is currently supported by three wholesalers across the state, including O&W Inc., with full statewide distribution expected by summer 2026. Nearly 40,000 cases have been presold ahead of the launch.
“You’ve been asking. You’ve been tagging. Even road-tripping across state lines. Now, we’re coming to you,” said Tom Junod, director of business development at Yuengling Brewery, in a news release. “To the rest of Michigan — we see you, we hear you. We’re just getting started.”
“This launch is not only a milestone for Michigan beer lovers, but also a defining moment in my career,” added Jamie Wanty-Keeder, vice president of marketing at O&W, Inc. “To be part of bringing America’s Oldest Brewery to Michigan and seeing this level of excitement and demand is truly special. We’re proud to help write this chapter in Yuengling’s legacy.”
