New luxury tequila brand Leyenda 1925 is making its official debut and exclusive availability in the U.S. The brand brings the legacy of Juan, Julio and Monste González, from Los Altos de Jalisco, México, to consumers in the U.S.
“Our journey with tequila began as young boys, learning from our grandfather as we watched him craft each batch with care, patience, and deep respect for the agave and our land,” said Julio and Juan González, co-founders of Leyenda 1925 Spirits, in a news release. “He passed down more than just technique, he instilled in us a passion for tradition, a pride in our roots and a reverence for the culture that surrounds tequila making. Every bottle we create is not only a reflection of our family’s generations of craftsmanship, but a visual and sensory tribute to the heritage we carry forward, from the flavor profile to the artistic design of each bottle, which tells the story of our people, our land and our legacy.”
The debut collection includes three variations:
- Leyenda 1925 Blanco – 100% additive-free, this crystal-clear tequila features citrus notes and smooth sweetness.
- Leyenda 1925 Reposado – Aged 8 months in white oak barrels, this variation delivers a velvety texture and a warm, woody complexity.
- Leyenda 1925 Añejo – Aged for 18 months, this full-bodied tequila is designed for sipping.
The cousins found a partner in Massachusetts-based innovator Joe Correia, according to the company, who joined the founders as a steward of the brand, taking the lead on its expansion in the U.S. market. Leyenda 1925 is now available at select premium retailers and fine dining establishments, bars and clubs throughout the New England area.
