Southern Glazer’s Announces Retirement of Randy Myers

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) announced the retirement of Randy Myers, executive vice president, general manager, North Central Sub Region, effective May 31, 2025.

“Randy has been a tremendous leader and an integral part of our Central Region for nearly two decades,” said Matthew Metz, president, Central Region, Southern Glazer’s, in a news release. “He’s not only delivered strong results – he’s also been a mentor, a collaborator, and a trusted partner to everyone he’s worked with. His leadership has made a lasting, positive impact on our people, our business, and the culture of our organization.”

Myers began his 39-year career in the beverage alcohol industry with E&J Gallo Winery as a sales consultant in 1986, according to Southern Glazer’s. He held multiple roles of increasing responsibility, eventually leading to capital division manager in Baltimore, Maryland. He then joined Monarch Beverage Company in 2004 and served as vice president of sales and marketing before joining Glazer’s Distributors in 2007 as vice president, Glazer’s of Missouri. Since then, he has held various leadership roles at Southern Glazer’s, ultimately serving as executive vice president, general manager, North Central Sub Region, overseeing operations in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

“Randy’s legacy is one of integrity, excellence, and commitment to building strong teams,” said Wayne E. Chaplin, president and CEO, Southern Glazer’s, in the release. “We are so grateful for his many contributions to our business and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”

The following leaders will report directly to Metz following Myers’ retirement: Isaiah Hultman, senior vice president, general manager, Missouri; Jim Mullen, senior vice president, general manager, Iowa, Kansas & Nebraska; and Soren Sorensen, senior vice president, general manager, Minnesota, North Dakota & South Dakota.
