Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) has reached an agreement to acquire substantially all the assets of Clare Rose Inc. (Clare Rose), a beverage alcohol distributor in Long Island, New York.
Expected to close during the first half of 2026, according to the company, the business will become part of Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of New York, the company’s dedicated beverage division in the state.

Chaplin, president and CEO, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, in a news release. “Clare Rose’s long-standing reputation for operational excellence, coupled with its exceptional people and portfolio, makes this a natural fit for our growth strategy.”
The transaction includes the opportunity to distribute Anheuser-Busch’s full product portfolio currently sold in the Long Island area—from its industry-leading beer brands, including Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser and Bud Light, to its fast-growing hard beverages, including Cutwater Spirits, NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer and BeatBox Beverages, to its new energy drink line, Phorm Energy—along with Tilray Brands, Pabst Brewing Company and a range of brands from additional suppliers, according to the company.

Upon closing, Southern Glazer’s plans to continue operations out of the company’s existing Yaphank, Long Island facility as part of Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of New York and begin distributing the Clare Rose portfolio within the Long Island area serviced by this operation, covering Nassau and Suffolk counties, according to the company.
Both companies are working in close coordination to support a seamless transition and ensure uninterrupted service for customers and suppliers.
