This year, for the first time ever, Goose Island will release its Bourbon County Original Stout in 10-oz. bottle 4-packs.
The bottles will be available starting Black Friday, alongside the other variants for 2025.
While the recipe remains unchanged, the new format reflects a shift in occasion: meant for side-by-side tastings with the rest of the lineup, or enjoying on its own.
Bourbon County Brand Original Stout will be sold exclusively in this new format, while the rest of the family remains in 16.9-oz. bottles.
Still aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels, this big, rich stout continues to show expressions of fudge, vanilla and caramelized sugar, the brewery reports.
Each year, Goose Island Beer Co. releases the Bourbon County Brand Stout family. At the heart of that is Bourbon County Brand Original Stout, the pioneering imperial stout that first launched more than thirty years ago.
