The U.S. distribution arm of Maguey Spirits, Maguey Imports, announced on Nov. 20 it has acquired Bozal Mezcal and Pasote Tequila from 3 Badge Beverage Corp. The deal not only expands Maguey Imports’ portfolio but also returns the two agave spirits brands to Mexican ownership.
Founded in 2014 by brothers Alejandro and Christian Rossbach, Maguey Spirits specializes in agave spirits from the renowned Mexican regions of Oaxaca, Durango and Jalisco. Products include an artisanal sotol and a mezcal gin.
Sonoma, CA-based 3 Badge Beverage Corp. had introduced Bozal and Pasote in 2016. The company’s other spirits include Uncle Val’s botanical Gin and Kirk & Sweeney rum
