Dallas-based Omni Hotels & Resorts this Friday will unveil a new seasonal Blitzen’s Bar at 13 Omni property locations. The holiday pop-up will feature innovative libations from mixologist, author and bar owner, Julie Reiner.
Blitzen’s Bar will transport guests to a wonderland that evokes an over-the-top festive ambiance with an elevated look and feel, the company says. Participating hotels have outfitted the space with neon signs, kitschy leg lamps, hanging tinsel, vibrant baubles and more.
The 12-cocktail menu from Reiner — which includes two non-alcoholic options — draws inspiration from classic holiday flavors such as rosemary, cranberry and apple. Key drinks include The Blitzen, a unique twist on a rum Negroni; the Frost Bite, a festive take on a Pina Colada; and Tidings of Whiskey & Joy, a play on the New York Sour. Each cocktail will be topped with distinct garnishes, from gingerbread cookies to toasted coconut “snow” complete with holiday-themed cocktail umbrellas.
Festive bites will accompany the cocktails, including Reindeer Nuggets (marinated castelvetrano olives); Ralphie’s Nibbles (soft pretzel bites with maple mustard); Popcorn Garlands with winter truffles and parmesan; and more. Sweet snacks include Blizzard Bark with white and milk chocolate accompanied by coconut, pistachio, ginger and cranberries, and Santa’s Secret Cookie Stash, an assortment of holiday cookies.
Reiner opened her first bar, the Flatiron Lounge, in New York in 2023. Since then, she has opened several highly influential bars including The Clover Club, the James Beard Award-nominated Leyanda and Milady’s. She’s also known as a judge on Netflix’s hit series Drink Masters.
Blitzen’s Bars will be open from Nov. 15 through Dec. 30. Participating hotels include New York’s Omni Berkshire Place, Omni Los Angeles at California Plaza in Los Angeles, Omni Dallas Hotel Downtown and Omni Parker House in Boston, and more.
