Frozen Drinks for 2024

The heat is definitely on this summer, and guests are craving cold drinks  — the colder the better. Spiff up your beverage menu with a few frozen craft cocktails and riffs on the classics. Here are seven recipes that we like for this year.

Sleechy (Slushy-Leechy Cocktail)

Course Drinks
Keyword coconut milk, lemon, lime, Lychee, rosewater, tequila

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Fortaleza tequila
  • ¼ oz. Lime
  • ½ oz. Lemon
  • 1 tsp. Coconut milk
  • 1 ½ oz. Lychee syrup such as Real
  • 3 Fresh lychees 2 for muddling 1 for garnish
  • 3 drops Rose water

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend with 1 ½ scoops of ice.
  • Garnish with lychee and rose.

Not Your Aunties Pina Colada

Course Drinks
Keyword Aberfeldy 12 yr Scotch, coconut water, pineapple puree, spiced rum, squash amaro

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Alander spiced rum
  • ½ oz. Aberfeldy Scotch
  • ½ oz. Field Trip squash amaro
  • 1 oz. Pineapple puree such as Lea Vergers Boiron
  • ½ tsp. White sugar
  • 3 Vita Coco coconut water ice cubes

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend well with ice.
  • Garnish with pineapple wedge and cocktail umbrella.

Smoky Frozen Paloma

Course Drinks
Keyword agave, club soda, Grapefruit juice, lime, mezcal

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Mezcal Amarás Espadín
  • 2 oz. Grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz. Lime juice
  • ½ oz. Agave syrup
  • 1 ½ oz. Club soda
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend until the ice is completely crushed.
  • Rim a glass with salt, pour the cocktail.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit slice.

The Eden Runner

Course Drinks
Keyword banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, orange juice, Pineapple Juice, rum

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Light rum
  • 1 oz. Dark rum
  • ¼ oz. 151 rum
  • 1 oz. Blackberry brandy
  • 1 oz. Banana liqueur
  • 1 oz. Orange juice
  • 1 oz. Pineapple juice

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender with ice.
  • Pour into glass.
  • Garnish with a fresh orange slice.

Frozen Jamaica

Course Drinks
Keyword Hibiscus, Ilegal Joven mezcal, lime

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Ilegal Mezcal Joven
  • 2 oz. Jamaica syrup*
  • 1 oz. Lime juice
  • 1 ½ cups Ice

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend with ice.
  • Garnish with lime.

Thirst Trap

Course Drinks
Keyword Aperol, lemon juice, orange juice, prosecco, rhubarb liqueur, Strawberry syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Lemon juice
  • 1 oz. Orange juice
  • 1 oz. Liquid Alchemist strawberry syrup
  • 1 oz. Fruitful Mixology rhubarb liqueur
  • 2 oz. Aperol
  • 4 oz. Prosecco
  • 2 oz. Water

Instructions

  • Mix ingredients and place in a shallow pan in freezer.
  • Let mixture freeze until solid.
  • Use a fork to “fluff” into small grains of frozen cocktail.
  • Place into a cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of orange and a strawberry.

Barrel Of Berries

Course Drinks
Keyword creme de mure, lime, raspberry puree, Simple syrup, whiskey

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Starward Two-Fold whisky
  • 1 oz. Lime juice
  • ¾ oz. Simple syrup
  • 4 oz. Water
  • ½ oz. Raspberry puree
  • ½ oz. Crème de mure

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in a blender.
  • Add ice and blend.
  • Pour into coupe glass.
  • Garnish with a colorful straw.
