Tanteo Spirits, LLC just announced that it will be working with Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits for distribution in 36 out of 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia.
In July of this year, Ole Smoky Distillery acquired Tanteo Spirits, which ultimately aligned the distillery’s distribution networks nationally. Moving forward, both brands will be working with Southern Glazer’s to increase distribution, the distillery states.
Tanteo’s distillery partnership with cooperatively owned Distilladora Juanacatlan will remain unchanged, ensuring that their high level of product quality will continue, including the company’s unique process of using real fresh peppers in its distinct, infused tequilas.
“We have had a strong partnership with Ole Smoky for many years and are excited to add Tanteo to our portfolio in a large number of markets across the country,” said Tim Redell, Managing Director of Supplier Development and Marketing at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in a news release. “We are looking forward to accelerating Tanteo’s growth as we continue to collaborate on building both brands.”
Improving Business for Tanteo Spirits
In addition to the aligned distribution network, Tanteo’s warehousing and shipping have also been consolidated at Ole Smoky’s campus in Newport, Tennessee, the distillery states. Key benefits of this consolidation include improved customer service and faster delivery times across the national distribution network.

Through this merger, the combined company will leverage Ole Smoky’s infrastructure and its sales and distribution network to significantly accelerate Tanteo’s growth.
