This bright, mezcal-based cocktail is perfect for Halloween, Day of the Dead, or any festive fall celebrations.

Keyword agave, Ancho Reyes Verde chile liqueur, Grapefruit juice, lime, mandarin juice

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Lobos 1707 Mezcal Artesanal
  • ½ oz. Ancho Reyes Verde liqueur
  • 1 ½ oz. Grapefruit juice
  • 1 ½ oz. Soda water
  • 1 oz. Fresh tangerine or Mandarin orange juice
  • ½ oz. Agave nectar
  • ½ oz. Fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • Black lava salt

Instructions

  • Use a lime wedge to rim a rocks glass with black lava salt.
  • Combine all ingredients, except soda, in a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake until chilled.
  • Add fresh ice to salted glass, then strain shaker into the glass.
  • Top off with soda water and stir to combine.
  • Garnish with mandarin orange slice.
