Fourth of July Cocktails for 2023

Independence Day is coming up and it’s time to trot out some patriotic cocktails. You can always reuse some recipes from this past Memorial Day, or even the cocktails we highlighted last year. But of course we have a fresh batch for 2023. Here are seven new recipes for your Fourth.

Cotton Candy Skies

Course Drinks
Keyword Blood orange syrup, gin, Key lime juice, prosecco

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Sipsmith gin
  • ½ oz. Liquid Alchemist blood orange syrup
  • ½ oz. Key Lime juice
  • 3 oz. Mionetto brut prosecco

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients together in a shaker and strain.
  • Pour into a stemless flute.
  • Garnish with a pillow of blue cotton candy.

Cosmic Hippo

Course Drinks
Keyword agave, cachaca, lime, tequila, velvet falernum

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Hibiscus-infused El Tesoro blanco tequila*
  • ½ oz. Novo Fogo Silver cachaça
  • ½ oz. Velvet falernum
  • 1 oz. Lime
  • ½ oz. Agave
  • 2 drops Orange bitters

Instructions

  • Rim a double Old Fashioned glass halfway with salt.
  • Combine ingredients in a mixing tin and shake.
  • Strain into double Old Fashioned glass over large ice cube.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

*For Hibiscus-infused tequila: 20 g dried hibiscus flower per 750 tequila.
Combine, let sit 15 minutes, strain.

Second Nature

Course Drinks
Keyword coconut syrup, lime, Lychee, vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ oz. Broken Shed Vodka
  • 1 oz. Unsweetened lychee purée
  • ¾ oz. Coconut syrup
  • ½ oz. Fresh lime juice
  • Dash lavender bitters

Instructions

  • Short shake all the ingredients with 3 ice cubes.
  • Strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Garnish with mint bouquet and serve with a straw.

Unite & Delight

Course Drinks
Keyword Blue Curaçao, lemon, vodka, yuzu sake

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Crystal Head vodka
  • oz. Blue Curaçao
  • oz. Yuzu sake
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Simple syrup

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  • Double strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass.
  • Garnish with lemon zest.

Bergamotto Blackberry Spritz

Course Drinks
Keyword blackberry, Italicus, lemon, prosecco, thyme

Ingredients

  • oz. Italicus bergamot liqueur
  • ¾ oz. Lemon juice
  • 4 Blackberries
  • La Marca prosecco
  • 1 Thyme sprig

Instructions

  • Muddle blackberries and lemon juice.
  • Add Italicus and shake with ice.
  • Fine strain into an ice-filled white wine glass.
  • Top with prosecco.
  • Garnish with a blackberry, lemon peel and thyme sprig.

Star Spangled Sipper

Course Drinks
Keyword cherry juice, lime, Suze, vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. E11EVEN Vodka
  • ½ oz. Lime
  • ½ oz. Cherry juice
  • ¼ oz. Simple syrup
  • ¼ oz. Suze gentian liqueur

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into shaker and with ice.
  • Shake until well chilled.
  • Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish with dehydrated lemon wheel and cherry.
  • Place popsicle and straw inside; cover with crushed ice.

Baby I’m A Firework

Course Drinks
Keyword lemon, strawberries, vodka

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Half Shell vodka
  • 2 Strawberries
  • ½ oz. Lemon
  • ½ oz. Simple syrup

Instructions

  • In a tall glass, add strawberries and muddle
  • Then fill glass with ice
  • In a shaker, add vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and shake.
  • Strain over glass, then garnish with blueberries.
