Conde Valdemar Wines New Packaging

Bodegas Valdemar, Valdemar Family’s property in Rioja, has introduced new packaging for their young Conde Valdemar wines.

Conde Valdemar is the flagship brand from the Bodegas Valdemar Winery.

The new labels, a departure from the earlier designs, reflect the estate’s dedication to sustainable farming, the company says, and launch with the 2021 vintage, which are just now being introduced.

Each of the three new labels feature one of the many indigenous flowers found growing among the vines in Rioja:

  • Conde Valdemar Rosé (SRP: $17.99) features the Malva Sylvestris flower, also known as Common Mallow
  • Conde Valdemar Blanco (SRP: $17.99) displays the Melilotus Indicus flower, commonly known as Indian or Yellow Sweet-Clover
  • Conde Valdemar Tempranillo (SRP: $17.99) shows the Centaurea Cyanus, commonly known as the cornflower

The type of ground cover emphasized on the new labels helps protect the environment by generating a diversity of colors and aromas through the abundance of flowers that naturally grow in the vineyards, the company says. In turn, the flora provides a large volume of pollen and nectar, acting as an alternative and inviting food source for the natural enemies of vine pests.
