Sips To Spruce Up Your Winter Days

Here are a few of our favorite seasonal cocktails designed to help warm winter’s chill.

Cranberry Cooler

Course Drinks
Keyword coconut rum, Don Papa rum, grapefruit, lemon

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Don Papa rum
  • ½ oz. Spiced cranberry-pomegranate honey syrup
  • 1 oz. Grapefruit juice
  • ¼ oz. Lemon juice

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients with ice and shake vigorously.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice.
  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds and mint sprig.

Banana Puddin Fizz

Course Drinks
Keyword bourbon, Creme de banana, lemon, lime, Peg Leg Porker Bourbon

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Peg Leg Porker Bourbon
  • ½ oz. Creme de banana
  • ½ oz. Simple syrup
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • ½ oz. Lime juice
  • 1 oz. Heavy cream
  • Egg white
  • Soda water

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except the soda water to a shaker with 2 ice cubes.
  • Shake hard and strain.
  • Top with soda water.
  • Garnish with a candied banana slice.

Winter Wine Punch

Course Drinks
Keyword cinnamon, lemon, orange liqueur, red wine, rum, Santa Teresa 1796 rum

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Santa Teresa 1796 rum
  • 1 ½ oz. Red wine cabernet sauvignon works well
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • ½ oz. Orange liqueur
  • ½ oz. Cinnamon simple syrup
  • oz. Absinthe optional
  • 1 ½ oz. Sparkling wine

Instructions

  • Shake all ingredients (except sparkling wine) with ice.
  • Double strain into a coupe or cocktail glass and top with sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise, grated nutmeg and an orange peel.

Fig & Thyme

Course Drinks
Keyword fig, lemon, Nonino L’Aperitivo, sparkling wine

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Nonino L’Aperitivo
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • 2 oz. Sparkling wine
  • 1 Fig sliced

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients (except sparkling wine) in cocktail shaker.
  • Muddle fig, add ice and shake.
  • Fine strain into stemmed glass over ice and top with sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with a sprig of thyme, lemon wheel and slice of fig.

Chocolate Truffle Whiskey Sour

Course Drinks
Keyword ameretto, Angostura cocoa bitters, lemon, Maple syrup, Whiskeysmith Chocolate flavored whiskey

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Whiskeysmith Chocolate flavored whiskey
  • ½ oz. Amaretto liqueur
  • ¾ oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ oz. Maple syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura cocoa bitters
  • 1 Egg white

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a mixing tin, including the egg white.
  • Shake first, without ice.
  • Add ice and shake for an additional 20 seconds.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry, chocolate and orange slice.

Pomegranate Harvest

Course Drinks
Keyword lemon, orange, Stranahan’s Blue Peak whiskey, whiskey

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Stranahan’s Blue Peak whiskey
  • ¾ oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz. Fresh orange juice
  • 1 Egg white
  • ½ oz. Pomegranate grenadine

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker.
  • Shake, strain and strain into a coupe glass.
  • Garnish with an orange twist.

Keyword Angostura bitters, Cointreau, Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva rum, rum, sparkling wine

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva rum
  • oz. Cointreau
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Champagne or prosecco
  • Orange twist

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients except sparkling wine in a shaker.
  • Shake and strain over crushed ice.
  • op with Champagne or prosecco.
  • Garnish with an orange twist.
