Opici Wines & Spirits has introduced Hubert’s Favorite One True Zin.
This organic Italian zinfandel (Primitivo) is named in honor of the company’s late founder, Hubert Opici.
Hubert had an appreciation for California and Italian winemaking, and an affinity for zinfandel, the company says. Certified organic, non-GMO and vegan, this wine is from the Salento region within Puglia.
One True Zin has notes of plum, cherry, marmalade and spice, the company reports. Stylistically, this zinfandel merges old world and new world to create an easy-drinking red that pairs perfectly with steak, burgers and barbeque.
“My grandfather will always be an inspiration and a driving force behind what we do,” says Don Opici, managing director of Opici Wines & Spirits. “He emphasized the importance of quality and value, and One True Zin perfectly embodies that sentiment. Our family is thrilled to launch this project to further honor his legacy.”
Hubert’s Favorite One True Zin is available at restaurants and retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price is $12 per 750-ml. bottle.
