The Beam Suntory brand Basil Hayden’s has launched a 10-year-old rye whiskey.
This is the first rye whiskey the brand has created with an age statement. Basil Hayden’s 10 Year Old Rye Whiskey is 80 proof, and keeps with the brand’s tradition of lighter whiskeys.
The new expression has aromas of sweet vanilla and oak, with a touch of light fruit, the company reports, before a palate of spice and oaks notes with hints of caramel. The finish is faint tobacco and warm cinnamon heat.
Basil Hayden’s 10 Year Old Rye Whiskey is available for a limited time nationwide with a suggested retail price of $69.99 for a 750-ml. bottle.
