U.S. wine & spirits importer Palm Bay International and Bottega SpA — a family-owned, Italian producer of fine wines and spirits — have together introduced Accademia Prosecco Rainbow Collection.
Inspired by Venice, Accademia’s rainbow color packaging celebrates the art of Venetian glass making, the companies say, and the city’s festive carnival atmosphere.
Each bottle in the collection contains Accademia’s Prosecco DOC, produced in Bottega’s sparkling wine facility in Treviso. Made from 100% glera grapes via the Charmat method, Accademia has a persistent perlage, the companies say, and flavors of green apple, white peach, citrus fruits and a hint of acacia flowers.
Accademia Rainbow Collection is currently rolling out nationwide with a suggested retail price of $106 per six-pack, or $17.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
