Walsh Whiskey has released the 2019 vintage of The Irishman Vintage Cask, a cask strength Irish whiskey.
This year’s vintage is limited to 2,346 bottles worldwide. Each bottle is numbered and signed by the company’s Co-Founder and Managing Director, Bernard Walsh.
The Irishman Vintage Cask 2019 edition is the 11th release since 2008. It is a blend of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, matured in first-fill bourbon casks, non chill-filtered and cut to 54% ABV. It was bottled in July 2019 and is presented in an wooden cask, with a dated certificate.
The suggested retail price is $140 per 750-ml. bottle.
On the nose are notes of cinnamon, clove and sweet vanilla blossom, the company says, before a palate of milk chocolate, crème caramel, medley of summer fruits and cracked black pepper.
