Deadpool, meet craft gin.
Davos Brands announced today that actor, writer and producer Ryan Reynolds has acquired an ownership interest in its Aviation Gin brand.
Reynolds reportedly pursued the investment after tasting Aviation Gin for the first time. “Aviation is the best tasting gin in the world. Once I tried it, I knew I wanted to get involved with the company in a big way,” the actor said in a release.
Produced in Portland, Oregon, Aviation is an American gin with a botanical mix that targets a smoother, easier drinking flavor than typical London Dry gins. Aviation shifts juniper into the background for citrus and floral notes upfront, the company says.
In connection with the investment, Reynolds will play an active role in the day-to-day business and oversee creative direction as part of his mission, the company says.
