Brazilian distillery Novo Fogo has announced its newest expression of cachaça now available in America: Colibri.
Colibri has matured over the years, moving back and forth between repurposed oak barrels and amburana (Brazilian teak) barrels, the company reports. Meaning “hummingbird” in Portuguese, Colibri is balanced by spices of vanilla and toffee (from the oak), cinnamon and chestnuts (from the teak), and tropical fruit such as banana and passion fruit, finishing with notes of snickerdoodle.
The suggested retail price for Colibri is $34.99 per 750-ml. bottle. It is available now. Only 400 cases were released.
