Independent Distilling Company has unveiled its new Independent Barrel Aged Rum.
Made from table–grade molasses, this American craft rum aged in new and used oak barrels.
Flavors include butterscotch, oaky vanilla, floral, nutty and honey notes, the company reports, with grassy aromas. In the finish are notes of oak spice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cracked white pepper.
The suggested retail price is $30-$33 per 750-ml. bottle.
Independent Distilling Company launched in 2014 in Decatur, GA. Its lineup includes Hellbender Corn Whiskey, made from Georgian corn, and Hellbender Bourbon.
