The grapes for this new Pinot Noir almost all originate from the Olson Ranch in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. (About two percent come from the neighboring vineyard across the road.)
Indicative of cool-climate regions, this wine has aromas of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate, with notes of vanilla and toast. The company compares the 2013 vintage with the 2007, because of the layers of ripe fruit flavors.
