35 Maple Street Spirits of Sonoma, California, has added two new aged rums to their portfolio: the Kirk & Sweeney 18-Year Dominican Rum ($49 per 750ml) and Kirk & Sweeney 23-Year Dominican Rum ($59 per 750ml).
The additions, now available nationally, join the formerly solo Kirk & Sweeney 12-year Dominican Rum.
These rums were distilled using traditionally harvested sugar cane before lengthy aging in American Oak barrels, the company says. Both present deep colors, and scents of vanilla, sherry and molasses, according to the company, along with bold, layered and complex flavors.
The Kirk & Sweeney brand was inspired by the spirit of a Prohibition-era rum-running schooner after which it was named.
