Father’s Day ’14 Cocktails

Papa McCoy


 


1 oz. The Real McCoy 3 Yr White Rum


½ oz. Cherry Herring


1 ½ oz. Fresh grapefruit juice


½ oz. Fresh lime juice


½ oz. Simple syrup


 


Place all ingredients into a mixing glass, add large ice, shake vigorously, taste for balance, double strain into coupe glass, garnish with a brandy-soaked cherry.

Ketel One Endless Days


 


1 ½ oz. Ketel One Oranje vodka


1 oz. Aperol


½ oz. Fresh orange juice


½ oz. Fresh lemon juice


½ oz. Simple syrup


3-4 Dashes rhubarb bitters


Club soda


 


Combine first six ingredients in a mixing glass. Shake with ice and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a long orange twist.

Milagro Select Old Fashioned


 


2 Parts Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Anejo tequila


¼ Part Agave nectar


2 Dashes Angostura bitters


1 Dash Angostura orange bitters


 


Combine all ingredients in a mixing beaker. Add regular ice and stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a double Old Fashioned glass over large hand cut ice block. Using a vegetable peeler, remove long orange and lemon peels. Express each over the top of the cocktail and rub them together around the rim of the glass. Roll peels together into a rosette and place atop the cocktail

2 Gingers New Fashioned Old Fashioned


 


1 ½ parts 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey


Splash of Orange juice


Splash of Orange liquor


2 Dashes Angostura bitters


Soda water


 


Combine ingredients in a low-ball or rocks glass and stir. Add ice and top with soda water to taste. Garnish with a cherry and orange peel.

Gran Lusso El Presidente


 


1 part Bacardi 8 Year Rum


1 part Martini Gran Lusso


1 dash Orange curacao


Maraschino cherry to garnish


 


Build cocktail in a mixing glass. Add ice. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
